Counting Down - a Play about Togo Bolesworth

Counting Down is a short play recounting the life and heroic exploits of local Hinckley hero Togo Bolesworth who was killed in the First World War. The details of the play and its structure were undertaken by members of Red River Youth Theatre based at the school, who have also been involved in the design.

The play tells in a series of flashbacks how he rose from working in a local factory to being a prize winning boxer. It shows how he was both villain and hero. Uncomfortable with authority he nevertheless had a strong sense of duty. With a large cast of characters played by just 4 professionals with links to the school the audience will experience the joys and pains of this all too brief life.
